Project Overview:
Diva is an enigmatic apparition that comes to life at night through video projection. Who is she? Where is she from? Frozen during the day in a meditative calm, the 3.5-meter-tall giant wakes up at nightfall to communicate with those around her. The video broadcast on the skin of the mysterious entity delivers to us fragments of its history.
How the project enhances the user experience:
DIVA is a 3.5 m high sculpture proposed by Apach Création. It was realized in 4 weeks of work at the chain, intensive and relentless for a transcription in the reality of a 3D modeling.
More than 300 polygons of the structure are animated with a 3D video mapping.
Individual/Team Introduction
Thomas Voillaume is graduated with a master’s degree in art and image technology. His artistic practice is rooted in 3D images and digital technologies. He develops sculptural work that takes advantage of contemporary technologies in order to inscribe my formal and poetic research in today’s world to produce artifacts that oscillate between the material world of sculpture and the immateriality of computer-generated images.
Jeremy Oury combines audio and visual skills to make singular digital forms as architectural mapping, fulldome and original
creation for theater. He focuses his artwork on a research about illusions from geometric distortions, on the synesthesia between sound and video, and on immersive forms in order to place the viewer at the center of a minimalist virtual universe to disrupt his perception of space. He also pursues explorations into intermedia forms with synaesthesic and electroacoustic compositions in various way (architectural mapping, led screen, fulldome, theater). Since 2014, his artwork was awarded in various international video mapping festivals and fulldome festivals.
